Winterton Village Hall
Run by the Village, for the village
In 1998 the Norfolk County Council intended to close down our village hall (at that time called The Adventure Centre). A "User Group" set up by the Winterton-on-Sea Parish Council negotiated a lease on behalf of the village. In June 1999, the County Council Member Panel agreed to fund improvements totalling £22,500.
New toilet facilities were built including disabled facilities. A derelict building at the rear was renovated to form a storage area, the kitchen was completely refitted, new lighting installed, and the hall completely redecorated.
In September 2000 our Parish Council agreed a ten year lease with the County Council to retain the, now designated, VILLAGE HALL.
The Hall has a Wheelchair friendly entrance ramp and shower facilities for overnight hirers - e.g. outward bound, orienteering, rallies, etc.
The Hall is available for both children's and adult parties with a maximum 60 capacity.
Our Village Hall is in constant use for local people and is used by such groups as:
- Art Class
- Rainbows
- Exhibitions

- Friendship Club
- Gardening Club
- Keep Fit Classes
- Marine Cadets
- Quilters Club
