County Councillor Jim Shrimplin
County Councillor for East Flegg which is comprised of Winterton, Somerton, Hemsby, Ormesby St Margaret and Ormesby St Michael.
County Councillors are responsible for matters concerning Education, Libraries, Museums, Consumer Protection, Fire, Highways, Footpaths, Waste Disposal,(but not collection),Mineral Extraction, County Farms and several other functions.
Norfolk County Council also appoints members to other bodies and as a result I am a member of the Norfolk Police Authority ,Gt Yarmouth Port Authority,
the Citizens Advice Bureau Management Board, the Gt Yarmouth Town Centre Partnership and the Gt Yarmouth Community Safety Partnership( CCTV).
